KANYE WEST TAYLOR SWIFT FUSELI

The Nightmare, oil on canvas, 101x127cm, John Henry Fuseli (1781)

The Swift's Nightmare, live on TV, 42.5x32cm, 14 Sept 2009 (228 years later)

I always believe that whatever artists say visually on a canvas is inspired by whatever they'd seen in life. But this visual is an exceptional because the artist created it two hundred years before the actual moment occurred. It was the famous fetishistic fantasy of John Henry Fuseli,The Nightmare (1781).

It depicts a blond woman lying in bed helplessly and a demon on top of her in a seated position, occupying her soul, assaulting her existence, creating an unforgettable moment. Who could refuse a nightmare? No one, including moi! The nightmare happened this year to a beautiful 19 year old girl who happens to be the singer named Taylor Swift.

The MTV VMA awarded her as the Best Female Video of 2009. She stood up and was invited to come onstage by Shakira and Taylor Lautner. This was the moment of her dreams. Suddenly, Kanye Westever, runs onstage, grabs her microphone unprofessionally and assaults her existence. Swift wearing a beautiful one shoulder gown stands speechless and her gesture reveals that she's having a nightmare.

This is another story from a fashion point of view, Kanye West is a shoe designer for the famous brand Louis Vuitton, and Taylor Swift wears a gown from an unpopular designer, Kaufman Franco. Do you see something? A famous singer bullies a new comer. The famous bullies the unknown.
