TINTIN IS IN THE HOUSE

Foto: Nicolas Borel - Atelier de Portzamparc (Museum)

“Poor Snowy. He must be feeling the height” Said Tintin, when he, Captain Haddock, and his faithful dog, Snowy, climbed up a mountain in Tibet. In fact, Captain Haddock’s backpack were dripping with alcohol, and Snowy tasted every drop of it.

Reading Tintin’s classic adventures have always entertaining, it’s fun, it’s beautifully written, and above of all, for every right-directed thinker like us, it’s beautifully drawn.

Hergé, the master behind Tintin, finally would have an everlasting name more then what we know it already is. His second wife, Fanny, instead of pouring their wealth into nothingness, built a museum that dedicated to her husband. Built at cost $20 million, Musée Hergé situated in Louvain-La-Neuve, 32km southeast of Brussel, Belgium. Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Christian de Portzamparc. Now, our comic-book hero, Tintin, has a house for his final spirit of travel.

You are spot on about Fanny building a fitting momument to Herge. Here resistence to turning Tintin into a european Disney does her cedit.
